Cookie policy

This page explains how Cornwall Energy Surveys uses cookies and how you can choose which ones to allow.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files stored in your browser. They can remember settings and help a website understand how it is used. Some contain identifiers that distinguish one browser or visit from another.

Essential cookies

We use Complianz to remember your cookie choices. Its consent cookies have names beginning cmplz_ and are configured to keep your choice for up to 365 days. They record which categories you allow and whether you have seen the notice. They are always enabled.

Additional WordPress cookies support signing in and administration for authorised website users. You do not need an account to browse our services or make an enquiry.

Optional Analytics cookies

If you accept optional cookies, Google Analytics helps us understand visits, pages viewed and how people find and use the site. This can include browser and device information, approximate location and cookie identifiers. We use the information to improve the website.

Google Analytics uses _ga to distinguish visitors and _ga_<container-id> to maintain session information. Google documents a default expiry of two years for these cookies; the expiry can refresh on later visits. Browser settings may shorten this. See Google’s cookie information.

Analytics is not loaded until you allow it. Rejecting optional cookies does not stop you reading the website, using the enquiry form, calling or emailing us.

Changing your choice

Choose Accept optional cookies, Reject optional cookies or Preferences in the cookie notice. You can reopen it through the Cookie settings tab at any time. Essential cookies remain enabled; Analytics is optional.

If you withdraw consent, Analytics will stop loading. You can also delete existing cookies through your browser settings. Clearing cookies or using a different browser or device may mean you are asked to choose again.

Other websites

Links to Google reviews, Facebook and other websites open services with their own privacy and cookie settings. Following a link is your choice. Read their policies when you use those services.
