Commercial EPC project
A small salon in Cornwall.
A small salon in Cornwall illustrates why a commercial EPC starts with understanding the individual building. The premises combined an older granite section with a later brick extension, so the survey needed to distinguish between different parts of the property.
The building in brief.

Looking closely at the premises.
The survey recorded the layout, construction, glazing and lighting. LED lighting was present, and no fixed space-heating system was identified. The different construction types and building services were considered as part of the assessment, rather than treating the premises as a single uniform space.
Why the detail matters.
Older business premises often contain alterations and extensions. Taking a clear record of those differences helps establish the information needed for the commercial energy assessment and identify any evidence that should be checked with the owner or occupier.
This example focuses on the survey and assessment process. It makes no claim about a particular rating or reduction in running costs.
Arrange a commercial EPC.
Cornwall Energy Surveys provides Level 4 commercial EPC assessments across Cornwall. The scope and quotation reflect the building and the work involved. Find out about commercial EPCs and share the property postcode, approximate size and type of premises to discuss the next step.
